The Role

As a Tax Solutions Engineer at Lucanet, you will serve as a technical and tax-domain expert for our product suite, helping customers solve complex tax reporting and compliance challenges across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Working closely with sales teams across Europe, you’ll lead discovery sessions and high-impact product demonstrations, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and advise stakeholders ranging from tax experts to business and technical teams.

You’ll also play a key role in strengthening Lucanet’s tax positioning in the DACH market by creating sales enablement content, collaborating cross-functionally with Product and Legal, and staying up to date on local tax regulations and trends.

What you'll do

  • Customer Discovery and Consultation: Conduct structured discovery sessions to understand tax-related customer pain points, requirements, and business objectives, and translate them into tailored solution approaches.
  • Technical Demonstrations: Lead compelling product demonstrations focused on tax use cases and compliance requirements in the DACH region.
  • Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor, clearly explaining complex tax topics such as VAT, Pillar Two, CbCR, and Income Tax to stakeholders of varying backgrounds and seniority.
  • RFP/RFI Responses: Prepare and ensure the technical accuracy of RFP/RFI responses, with a strong focus on regional tax compliance and customer requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product, and Legal to improve solution positioning and market readiness for the DACH tax technology landscape.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop and refine sales support materials, demo assets/databases, and internal training content to ensure ongoing relevance for local tax regulations.
  • Market & Regulatory Expertise: Stay actively informed on DACH tax legislation, industry trends, and emerging technologies to continuously improve customer value and internal effectiveness.

What you bring to the table

  • Proven experience in tax, with direct exposure to tax reporting and/or digital tax solutions in the DACH market.
  • Completed training as a tax specialist, a degree in taxation, or equivalent qualifications. Experience in a tax advisory/accounting firm or Big 4 environment is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in technical pre-sales / sales engineering (ideally within SaaS, FinTech, or tax technology) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of German and/or Austrian/Swiss tax systems, regulations, and reporting requirements; familiarity with Lucanet’s product suite is an advantage.
  • Excellent German communication skills and strong English skills, enabling confident interaction with both local and international stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn customer challenges into innovative, compliant solutions.
