The Role 🚀
We’re looking for a hands-on People Ops pro to jump in and support the Lucanet team on a 2-year contract - with a solid chance of going permanent afterwards. As our go-to mid/senior HR person in Bucharest, your mission is to keep things running smoothly for 800+ global colleagues while finding clever ways to make our processes even better. You’ll have the autonomy to own the entire employee lifecycle, tackling the tricky stuff like immigration and labor law with confidence. We’ll know you’re crushing it when, six months in, you’re independently solving complex HR puzzles and leading projects that leave our workflows better than you found them.
We’re big on flexibility, so you’ll work mostly remotely with 1–2 days a week to sync up with the team at our Bucharest office. ☕
Why you'll love it:
- Join a Global Fintech Leader: It is an incredibly exciting time to join Lucanet as we pursue our goal of becoming a global fintech leader.
- Be Part of an AI Transition: You’ll play a direct role in our evolution toward an AI-native product environment.
- Become an AI Automation Expert: Gain hands-on experience and become a specialist in leveraging AI automation for HR processes and workflows.
- Work with Top Talent: Collaborate within a high-performing, cross-functional team full of talented people who are passionate about what they do.
- Direct Impact: You’ll have the autonomy to shape the HR backbone of our Romanian organization and contribute to strategic initiatives from day one
What you'll do
- Lifecycle Management: Manage day-to-day operations including contracts, employee data, documentation, and onboarding/offboarding.
- Employee Support: Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries and support managers on HR-related topics.
- Compliance & Legal: Ensure strict adherence to Romanian labor law and internal policies.
- Complex Problem Solving: Resolve intricate cases, such as immigration or cross-functional escalations, with confidence.
- Process Improvement: Identify gaps in current workflows and contribute to documenting and improving them.
- Systems Support: Support internal HR tools, including testing and implementation projects.
What you bring to the table
- Experience: At least 4–6 years of experience in HR Operations or People Operations.
- Legal Expertise: Strong knowledge of Romanian labor law; exposure to international labor law is a plus
- Independence: Ability to handle complex situations and make decisions without constant guidance
- Adaptability: Comfortable working with both routine tasks and highly ambiguous scenarios
- Mindset: A proactive "owner" who doesn't wait for instructions to move things forward
- Bonus points if you have experience working within an international business, particularly in an in-house software development environment
Perks at work
- Exceptional Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a flexible hybrid model, collaborating at our Bucharest-based office just 1–2 days per week
- Master AI Automation: Take full advantage of our premium AI ecosystem, including specialized training, workshops, and internal "universities" to get certified in AI usage and HR workflow automation.
- Monthly Benefit Allowance: Receive 1,375 RON per month via our flexible benefits platform to spend on what matters most to you.
- Generous Paid Time Off: Recharge with 25 days of PTO, plus 2 extra days during the winter season.
- LucaFlex: We embrace diverse working styles. Our flexible model empowers you to align your working hours and location with your professional responsibilities and personal needs
- Premium Healthcare: Comprehensive medical subscription to ensure your health and well-being are prioritized.
- Growth & Development: Participate in regular performance and salary review cycles designed to boost your income and provide a clear, structured career path.
- Stability & Ambition: Join a well-established, award-winning business with high ambitions and a successful, long-term roadmap.
