The Finance Team at Chainalysis splits their time between fine-tuning the details and evaluating the 30,000 foot view of our business. Our job is to help the company plan for growth by investing in the right resources and audit our expenditures and revenues to ensure we’re being fiscally responsible.

The Finance Sales Manager will focus on being a strategic business partner to our GTM organization by building and maintaining regular reporting, providing critical insights, and advising on strategic departmental decisions through the Financial lens. You will own budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for Sales and Services and will be a critical partner in driving business results. You'll work in close collaboration with the FP&A, sales, and operations organizations, requiring strong partnership and communication skills. The ideal candidate has an appetite for relationship building, process improvements and efficiencies, strong analytical abilities, and exceptional attention to detail.

In this role, you'll:

  • Act as a strategic business partner to the sales & services organization by providing critical reporting and actionable insights rooted in financial data and analysis

  • Facilitate and support annual planning and forecasting for the global sales team

  • Support management of budgets and

  • Maintain regular reporting on performance against top-line KPIs and variance analyses

  • Partner closely with Revenue Ops to monitor and track bookings and margins

  • Proactively identify opportunities for change, process improvement, and system enhancements

  • Develop an intimate understanding of our business and GTM strategy and use your insights to drive continued improvement in our Sales & Services processes

  • Carry out various ad hoc analyses for special projects across Sales & Services

  • Support creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting both internally and for our Board of Directors

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • An established background in FP&A with an emphasis on strong business partnership

  • Prior experience hiring and managing a team of world class finance professionals

  • Prior SaaS company experience, with a deep understanding of SaaS metrics

  • Excellent reporting skills with the ability to gather the appropriate data and glean insight to improve performance

  • Proven ability to identify and replace manual processes with automation

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Preferred Public Sector experience, but not required

  • Prior experience with Sales Compensation planning is a plus

  • A growth mindset and genuine curiosity

Nice to have experience:

  • Strong modeling skills that can seamlessly transition between Excel/Office Connect and Google Sheets

  • Preferred systems skills in Salesforce, Adaptive, and /or NetSuite
