About the Role:
In this role you will act as the Finance counterpart to Sales and the CRO office, you will own pricing governance on every non-standard deal and drive end-to-end receivables recovery across our global entities. You'll manage a growing collections portfolio, build CleverTap's deal desk playbook from the ground up, and lead a direct report from day one.
What will you do:
Strategic Business Partnering
Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Revenue Operations leaders to drive strategic business decisions.
Translate financial insights into actionable recommendations that improve business performance.
Support annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
Commercial Finance & Deal Desk
Lead the Deal Desk process by reviewing complex commercial deals, pricing, discount structures, payment terms, and contract profitability.
Partner with Sales, Legal, and Revenue Operations to ensure deals align with company policies and financial objectives.
Provide financial guidance on large enterprise transactions and strategic customer negotiations.
Analyze revenue performance, pipeline conversion, operating expenses, and key SaaS metrics.
Revenue & Collections
Partner with Accounting and Accounts Receivable teams to improve collections, reduce outstanding receivables, and strengthen cash flow.
Monitor customer payment trends and recommend actions to improve working capital.
Track bookings, billings, ARR, revenue realization, and cash collections.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to automate and improve financial reporting and commercial workflows.
Partner with Finance Systems and Revenue Operations to optimize quote-to-cash processes.
Drive scalable financial controls and governance as the business grows.
What are we looking for?
Must Have:
6+ years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Business Finance, or Strategic Finance.
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with active professional membership, or a MBA in Finance
Experience partnering with Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Revenue Operations teams.
Strong understanding of SaaS business models, subscription revenue, ARR, bookings, renewals, and revenue recognition.
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Good to have:
Knowledge of collections, accounts receivable, and working capital management.
Familiarity with SaaS metrics including ARR, MRR, NRR, CAC, LTV, pipeline conversion, and gross margin.
