As a Commercial Solutions Engineering Lead at Cloudera, you will be responsible for our technical solution selling, working closely with our existing customers, prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure the technical win and successful adoption of Cloudera's products.
As part of this, you will utilize your technical acumen, business competencies and customer service orientation to provide the highest level of consultation to the inside sales teams to support the regional sales goals
As a Commercial Solutions Engineer Lead you will:
Demonstrate Cloudera products in a way that engages your customers to say “yes” to Cloudera
Design solutions for your customers’ needs using Cloudera technologies, based on reference architectures and common patterns
Hold use case discovery workshops with customers or prospects
Provide direct support to Inside Sales Team through the Discovery & Qualification phases
Determine if Opportunity can be worked directly by Inside Sales SE Team based on bandwidth and technical requirements
Present product roadmap and vision to inspire your customers to think bigger
Participate in external publicity and evangelism (meetups, webinars, blogs)
Support corporate initiatives specific to the Internal Sales Team goals
Work with managed services and cloud migration partners to unblock accounts who lack the required skill set or personnel to run CDP
Run Hands-On-Labs \ Workshops to increase customer Cloud Consumption and Expansion
Guide customers through 5-Day Public Cloud Trials and POCs
You may also have the opportunity to:
Attend Regional forecast calls and provide inputs and feedback on open Opportunities
Act as a mentor for newly hired Inside SE's within the Region
Provide additional training on Sales Plays specific to the Inside Sales target accounts
Develop repeatable processes to support the segment (e.g. technical discovery, account management, POCs)
Provide shadowing opportunities to new Inside Sales SE's and ensure the quality of presentation and demo delivery
Work closely with RSI Partners that are best fit for a SMB customer base.
Fully leverage technical overlay teams (Cloud Solution Specialists, PM Practice Managers, Customer Success Managers)
We’re excited about you if you have:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field
5 + years of professional work experience in a similar position
Enterprise Software and Big Data experience
Certification(s) on any of the major hyper-scalers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Demonstrated understanding of the challenges in operations, Security and Data Governance within the enterprise
Hands-on experience with cloud native technologies such as microservices, container orchestrators and auto-scaling.
Solution Architecture/Engineering experience as a field of practice (able to listen to customer requirements, whiteboard and propose solution architecture, and get hands-on with the tech to design, build, and demonstrate real business value)
You are on good terms with Infrastructure (Hardware, Storage, Network), Java/.NET, and SQL .
You have an interest in Generative AI and Data Science and understand the difference between Data Engineering and Applied Science
You have strong Linux skills
Demonstrated Strong Written and verbal Communication skills
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
You may also have:
Demonstrated knowledge of Big Data Ecosystem (HDFS & YARN, Spark, Impala, KUDU, Solr etc ), can talk to the benefits of a centralized architecture for both data management and data access
Streaming experience (Nifi, Kafka, Flink, Spark, etc.)
NoSQL experience (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.)
EDW experience – Teradata, Netezza, GreenPlum, Exadata
Data Science and ML experience – (R, Python, Deep Learning Frameworks etc.)
Integration Products experience (Talend, DataStage, Informatica BDM, Qlik, Tableau, Zoomdata, IBM, Oracle, etc.)
