Role Overview
We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong experience in data ecosystems to join our application engineering team.
This role focuses on building backend capabilities that integrate with BI tools, data platforms, and metadata-driven systems, enabling scalable analysis, lineage, and insights across complex enterprise environments.
As a Staff Software Engineer you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services that integrate with BI platforms and data systems
- Build and enhance connectors, ingestion pipelines, and metadata processing logic
- Work with structured and semi-structured data from BI tools, databases, and data platforms
- Collaborate closely with Product, Data, DevOps, and QE teams to deliver end-to-end features
- Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of data-heavy services
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions
- Troubleshoot complex customer and production issues related to data extraction and analysis
We are excited about you if you have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer / Backend Engineer
- Strong programming skills in Java / Python / Scala / .Net similar backend languages
- Hands-on experience with BI systems (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, OBIEE, SSAS, etc.)
- Solid understanding of data warehouses, SQL, ETL/ELT concepts
- Experience working with APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP)
You might also have:
- Experience with metadata, lineage, or data catalog systems
- Knowledge of Spark, Databricks, dbt, or big data platforms
- Exposure to SaaS, multi-tenant architectures
- Understanding of enterprise security concepts (SSO, RBAC)
