Cognite seeks a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager Learning and Culture to lead and drive initiatives that enhance our ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent globally. This role will be pivotal in developing and aligning development programs with our strategic priorities, enabling organizational growth, and shaping our Cognite culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in learning & development and building company culture, in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Building Cognite Skills and Measuring Learning Impact:

  • Design and implement targeted training programs that address both current and future skill needs across all Cogniters, ensuring Cogniters are equipped to thrive in a fast-evolving industry.
  • Lead the execution and scaling of organization-wide skills development programs, ensuring accessibility, relevance, and impact.
  • Contribute to the implementation and expansion of leadership development initiatives, including Leadership BASECAMP, to strengthen leadership capabilities at all levels.
  • Leverage digital learning platforms, AI-driven tools, and innovative solutions to create engaging, data-driven, and measurable learning experiences.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by embedding development opportunities into the daily employee experience and career growth paths.

Developing a Global Cognite Culture:

  • Drive the evolution of Cognite Culture across all regions, integrating local cultural nuances while maintaining the core DNA of the organization.
  • Assess and shape organizational culture to ensure alignment with strategic business goals and leadership expectations.
  • Design and implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement, belonging, and impact-driven work.
  • Partner with HR team and local leadership to reinforce Cognite’s values, mission, and a high-performance culture rooted in ownership, impact, and relentlessness.
  • Promote an inclusive work environment that fosters innovation, collaboration, and new ways of working.

Organizational Development:

  • Partner with HR, and key stakeholders across to develop and drive programs that elevate employee performance, engagement, and career development.
  • Establish tools and support to enable leaders to be culture carriers and coaches, ensuring alignment between leadership behaviors and business objectives.

Metrics, Learning & Impact:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of learning programs, leadership development, and culture initiatives.
  • Analyze data on learning engagement, skills progression, and employee experience to drive continuous improvement.
  • Use insights from feedback, surveys, and industry trends to refine and optimize development initiatives for maximum impact.
  • Work across regional teams to ensure programs are culturally relevant and aligned with Cognite strategy, our values and the unique needs of diverse markets.

We believe most of these should match your experience

  • 7+ years of experience in learning & development, or organizational development, ideally in a scaling SaaS or global technology company
  • Proven track record in learning & development, organizational development, culture, and in designing and executing impactful development programs.
  • Analytical mindset with experience measuring the success and impact of development initiatives.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, and globally dispersed organizations.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to execute people strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with experience in a matrixed and dynamic global organization.
  • Communication skills and ability to craft compelling narratives around learning and culture.
