Information Security Manager

Job description
We are looking for an experienced information security manager to design and enforce policies and procedures that protect our organization's computing infrastructure from all forms of security breaches. You will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring that our network and data remain secure.

(a) Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across all systems and processes.
(b) Perform regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing.
(c) Develop and maintain a risk management framework and incident response plan.
3. Policy and Compliance
(a) Design and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
(b) Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including GDPR, ISO 27001, or other
relevant frameworks.
4. Technology and Operations
(a) Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security tools, including firewalls,
intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
(b) Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and take prompt action to address threats.
(c) Respond to and manage security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business
operations.
5. Collaboration and Training
(a) Work with IT and development teams to embed security into system design and
operations.
(b) Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of security.
(c) Communicate security updates and risks to senior management and stakeholders.
Preferred candidate profile
To be successful as an information security officer, you should have expert analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of best practices to prevent a wide range of security threats.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in information security management, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity threats, risk management, and incident response.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
