We are seeking motivated, hardworking Senior Software Engineers eager to enhance Cohesity’s products by developing features, tools, and scripts that simplify the process of selling, deploying, and maintaining them. You are not only a Software Engineer who crafts and implements features, but should have a curiosity about diagnosing problems in large bodies of sophisticated code, understand scalability and performance, and work on fixes with rapid turnaround time and high quality. This position will focus on working closely with our Product and Sustenance Engineering team, as well as with Product Managers, Customer Support, System Engineers, and customers.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
- Design, develop, and maintain innovative products for our on-prem as well as SaaS offerings, including distributed file systems, archival products, and cloud services.
- Efficiently collaborating with product management, other cross-functional leads, and teams on both technical and business strategies to improve and build the future product roadmap for Cohesity’s infinitely scalable platform.
- Implement product features for on-prem and cloud platforms.
- Drive accountability for test-driven development, delivery of high-quality features and resilient enterprise-class solutions
- Lead a culture of team ownership and direct individual and team accountability to improve how they work and achieve results continuously.
- Participating in Agile development processes.
WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Min 7+ years with infrastructure, back-end development experience
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing
- Expert level programming and debugging skills in C or C++ or Go Or Java
- Strong understanding of system performance and scaling
- You have worked on and understand: ○ NAS, filers, file systems ○ NAS protocols such as SMB, CIFS, NFS or S3 ○ Replication and disaster recovery
- Familiarity in distributed filesystems, object storage is a huge plus
- Proven skills to solve complex problems.
- Experience with debugging, diagnosing, and trouble-shooting complex, production software.
- Ability to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects
- Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment
- Possess excellent communication and sharp analytical abilities
- Ability to give technical feedback and drive quality via code reviews
- Expert level knowledge in identifying performance bottlenecks and performance optimization
- Ability to represent operational issues to senior leadership and dive deep into the technical details when required

Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.
Pay Range :
The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment.
