We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in Bangalore. The role requires strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on experience in end-to-end GL accounting, and exposure to shared services operations within the ITES industry.

The incumbent will support financial close activities, reconciliations, payroll accounting, audits, and reporting while ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IGAAP, and Ind AS. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, accuracy, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment.

This role will also play a critical part in advancing automation and Agentic AI initiatives to improve operational efficiency, financial visibility, and reporting effectiveness.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE

  • Manage end-to-end General Ledger (GL) accounting and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.

  • Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, intercompany transactions, and other accounting adjustments.

  • Record bank payment entries and perform periodic bank reconciliations.

  • Liaise with AP, Tax, and Payroll teams to ensure accurate GL balances.

  • Prepare monthly MIS reports and management reporting schedules.

  • Perform monthly account reconciliations in FloQast and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis.

  • Prepare monthly flux analysis and provide variance explanations to management.

  • Coordinate with FP&A teams for accrual accounting and reporting requirements.

  • Liaise with Head Office stakeholders for commission, bonus, and related accounting entries.

  • Review payroll accounting entries and support payroll-related statutory filings and reconciliations.

  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing schedules, documentation, and required explanations.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and reporting accuracy.

  • Perform other accounting and finance-related responsibilities as assigned.

  • Build automated reporting and agentic AI solutions using approved AI tools (Claude, Copilot) and partner with the business to meet their financial reporting needs and hands on using Claude, and Tableau.

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and support high-quality decision-making

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of GL accounting and month-end close processes.

  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, Ind AS and IGAAP.

  • Experience in reconciliations, accrual accounting, and financial reporting.

  • Exposure to payroll and fixed asset accounting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, NetSuite, Coupa, and AI-enabled productivity tools.

Preferred Systems Knowledge

Experience with the following applications will be preferred:

  • NetSuite

  • SAP Concur

  • FloQast

  • Tableau

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or CA Inter with relevant hands-on industry experience.

  • 6–10 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in ITES/shared services environments.

  • Strong exposure to GL accounting, reconciliations, financial close, and reporting activities.

  • Experience in a cost-plus business model environment will be an added advantage.

  • Exposure to US GAAP, IGAAP, and Ind AS frameworks preferred.
