Your Career
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Staff Software Engineer with a passion for frontend craftsmanship to join the Cortex Cloud Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) team.
You will join a fast-moving collaborative team developing advanced solutions in one of Palo Alto Networks’ most innovative areas. In this role, you will design and develop the next generation of frontend applications, taking ownership of complex features from concept to production. You will be expected to leverage modern tools, including AI-driven development workflows, to deliver exceptional user experiences with speed and precision.
Your Impact
Feature Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of major UI features. Design and develop scalable, reusable, and performant frontend components using React / Angular and TypeScript.
AI-First Development: Actively adopt and utilize AI coding assistants to accelerate development, generate boilerplate, write tests, and optimize code logic, setting a standard for modern engineering efficiency.
Code Quality & Architecture: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code. participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our internal component libraries and architecture.
Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Backend engineers to convert requirements into working software that safeguards our customers against cyber threats.
Mentorship: Mentor engineers, share knowledge on best practices, and help foster a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications
Your Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in frontend development
- Senior-level hands-on experience with modern Angular/React development - Must
- Experience with large scale applications - Must
- Experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript
- Strong understanding of performance optimizations, modular design, and scalable architecture
- Independent, proactive, and collaborative team player with strong ownership mindset
- Experience with data visualization - Advantage
- Experience with backend development – Advantage
