Position: SDR Manager (US)
Overview:
The SDR Manager will lead, manage, and grow a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) responsible for both inbound and outbound lead generation, qualification, and opportunity creation. This role requires close collaboration with Sales, Demand Generation, Recruiting, HR, Sales Enablement, and Operations teams to ensure the development and success of your team, driving exceptional results.
Responsibilities:
- Build, train, and lead a high-performing team of SDRs focused on outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline generation.
- Develop and refine the outbound sales process, optimizing SDR metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to increase productivity and revenue growth.
- Provide hands-on coaching through shadowing, role plays, and performance feedback in regular 1:1s to ensure consistent development and success.
- Collaborate with Demand Generation and Sales teams to create territory-specific campaigns that align with business goals and enhance prospect engagement.
- Use creative marketing and sales strategies to help SDRs connect with key buyer personas, showcasing the value of Couchbase’s solutions.
- Oversee the effective use of key sales tools like Salesforce (SFDC), Outreach.io, 6Sense, and ZoomInfo to ensure seamless operations.
- Partner with Sales and SDR leadership to improve opportunity qualification and management processes.
- Monitor, analyze, and communicate SDR reports and dashboards, ensuring performance data is easily accessible to stakeholders.
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new SDRs to build a strong, engaged, and motivated team.
- Foster a positive, energetic, and inclusive work environment where team members are inspired and excited to contribute to the company's success.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of management experience in sales or sales development, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams.
- Proven track record of success in driving pipeline growth in fast-paced environments with both inbound and outbound sales models.
- Experience managing outbound SDR teams and a deep understanding of motivating and developing entry-level sales professionals.
- Strong active listening skills, curiosity, and a passion for building genuine relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Proficiency in key sales tools like Salesforce (SFDC), Outreach.io, ZoomInfo, 6Sense, and other CRM/lead generation platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to attract, retain, and motivate exceptional sales talent.
- Excellent communication skills and proven success working cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams.
- Previous experience as a high performing SDR
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university is preferred.
