Software Engineering Manager – Couchbase Capella
Job Summary: Seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead a team of software developers building the next generation of cutting edge Database as a Service in the public cloud. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers ensuring timely delivery of projects, and ensuring that the operations of the service in production meet targeted SLOs. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience managing teams, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
Job Summary: Seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead a team of software developers building the next generation of cutting edge Database as a Service in the public cloud. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers ensuring timely delivery of projects, and ensuring that the operations of the service in production meet targeted SLOs. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience managing teams, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of software developers providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Ensure timely project delivery that meets business objectives, quality, and supportability goals.
- Ensure production systems meet availability and performance targets and SLAs.
- Work cross-functionally across product management, QA, and other teams to develop staffing plans, release roadmap, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience as an engineering manager and 8+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Track record of successfully managing software development projects on the public cloud.
- Strong experience in one or more of AWS, GCP, or Azure platforms.
- Development experience in Golang and/or managing large projects written in Golang will be a plus.
- This is an office based role and the selected candidate should agree to work from the Bangalore Office 3 days in a week.
