We’re hiring a Solution Engineer based in Miami, FL to help our customers achieve success with Couchbase. This is a customer-focused technical role that blends consultative engagement, deep technical skill, and a passion for solving real-world problems. You’ll work directly with developers, architects, and technical decision-makers to design, deliver, and support impactful solutions. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English and Portuguese, with trilingual fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish strongly preferred. The role requires regular travel to and within Latin America from the U.S., as well as domestic U.S. travel.

What You’ll Do
Drive Customer Success Through Technical Expertise
- Serve as a trusted advisor, designing solutions aligned to customer goals and business needs
- Deliver hands-on workshops, demos, and proofs-of-concept that solve real challenges
- Provide architectural guidance across SDKs, data flows, and distributed environments—on-prem and in the cloud
Collaborate to Maximize Impact
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Services teams to ensure customer outcomes
- Build meaningful relationships with developers, architects, DevOps teams, and executives
- Understand customer priorities and translate them into technical success
Lead with Community and Ownership
- Represent Couchbase in the broader technical community through events, content, and engagement
- Mentor junior SEs and contribute to internal best practices
- Champion process and tooling improvements that elevate the entire team’s effectiveness
What Will Make You Stand Out
- A clear track record of helping customers succeed through solution design and delivery
- Ability to communicate technical concepts in a way that builds trust and drives action
- Passion for problem-solving, customer empathy, and cross-functional collaboration
- Direct experience with Generative AI architectures, including RAG patterns, LLM integration, and frameworks like LangChain or similar
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years in a solutions engineering or customer-facing technical role
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or comparable languages
- Experience with modern databases (NoSQL/SQL), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, API integration (REST, GraphQL), and DevOps workflows
- Knowledge of Generative AI tools and agents, including LLM orchestration, retrieval pipelines, and AI-enhanced application design
