About the Role:
As our Principal Software Engineer you’ll contribute to the Exposure management SaaS solution which encompasses Vulnerability management, Surface, Attack path, and posture management groups. You’ll develop new features as well as improve existing functionality. As a key member of Exposure management team, you will focus on a broad area of the product. You will also be working on a diverse set of larger projects, which require you to collaborate cross-team with other backend engineers, frontend engineers, UX designers and product managers.


What You'll Do:

  • Contribute to take our SaaS solution to the next level

  • Develop Exposure management solution in Go and Java

  • Build in best practices of software development; code review, automated tests, agile development, retrospective, incremental improvements and continuous deployment

  • Work on cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects

  • Participate and lead the architecture, design and development of new features

  • Participate in scoping, designing and developing of new features

  • Continuous improvement of internal tools and processes

  • Strong communication skills; working collaboratively and confidently with internal stakeholders.

  • Strong experience in completing tasks for multiple projects simultaneously.


What You'll Need:

  • A Masters in Computer Science or related field, or BS with equivalent work experience

  • 15+ years of overall backend engineering experience, including 2+ years as a Principal Engineer or Architect

  • Fluency in at least one programming language, preferably in Golang, Java or Scala

  • Hands on experience in large-scale (distributed) system architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization

  • Hands on experience in developing scalable solution using Kafka, Cassandra or ElasticSearch

  • Solid grounding in at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Solid design, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security and performance

  • Can-do attitude, and that you thrive collaborating in a team and are not afraid of taking on responsibilities


Bonus Points:

  • Experience of hybrid cloud environments

  • Experience in golang and building solutions for large planet scale problems

  • Deep experience in building SaaS products in cybersecurity and intelligence domain

  • Experience developing complex software applications

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $190,000 - $290,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
