About the Role:

We are CrowdStrike, a fast-growing security company that protects our wide range of customers from cybersecurity attacks. We're investing in Release engineers who are energetic, eager to learn, flexible, and capable of managing large scale/complex engineering projects in a fast-paced environment.

As a Release Engineer you will focus on the Release Management lifecycle, which includes coordinating and management of releases across multiple teams. You will also help build automated release processes in support of deploying various applications across our environments. When necessary you will provide tools and services to the engineering teams and delivery teams to ensure quality releases.

What You'll Do:

  • Display the ability to collaborate, while still driving a release process end to end Facilitate cross-department coordination of release management functions. Engages in our process and is always looking for ways to improve the process leading to improving quality.

  • Empowered to develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms

  • Facilitate meetings and discussions with partner teams (including subject matter experts, design teams, and technology teams) of release risk and work to effectively mitigate it.

  • Measure release cadence and effectiveness using common metrics across the platform portfolio and identify opportunities for greater efficiency

  • Define common mechanisms for rollback and standards for capturing release-related performance indicators

  • Ensure accurate and efficient release blocker meetings

  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process.

  • Lead and coordinate go-live activities

What You'll Need:

  • Familiarity with common CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket

  • Other tools/languages Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Python, Go

  • Problem solver who can work in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to to collaborate with multiple teams to diagnose and debug complex issues

  • Experience with Systems Development Lifecycle, specifically Agile/Scrum. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • Must work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups across divisions, worldwide, as part of a team.

  • Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and have the ability to make good, timely decisions.

  • Comfort with proactively and independently driving for results in small team environments.

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $100,000 - $150,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
