Position Title: Site Operations Manager (T4)

Role

The Site Operations Manager (SOM) is responsible for all onsite aspects of construction, operations, and maintenance activity at our tower sites including but not limited to customer installations, troubleshooting, ground-based inspections, tower lighting and site maintenance, and general telecommunications construction and maintenance resolutions. Oversees onsite vendors, installers, and customer representatives, while ensuring all work is conducted and sites are maintained in accordance with Crown Castle policies, procedures, and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform site layout validation, scoping on-site and in the field
  • Ensure project forecasting accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Coordinate permitting, inspection and code compliance
  • Manage construction quality, scope and construction change
  • Review site-specific closeout documents for customer specific deliverables

  • Ensures protection and integrity of Crown Castle assets
  • Exhibits a safety and quality-oriented mindset to ensure safe, timely, and quality delivery of construction and field operations services to meet or exceed the expectations
  • Represents Crown Castle as an expert on construction quality and scope, customer standards, jurisdictional and code requirements, and site maintenance
  • Collaborative work done in a way that balances educated decision making with measured speed of implementation
  • Ability to continuously prioritize long-term plans with short-term urgent response needs
  • Ability to influence conversations and work through building of relationships, thoughtful framing of issues, and building influence through excellent work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to present complex information in a clear and simple format

Education/Certifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and/or commensurate experience
  • 4+ years in wireless construction and operations management
  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Construction Training Cards
  • First Aid and CPR Certification

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to negotiate with landowners to influence outcomes
  • Works independently and as a member of various teams
  • Demonstrated ability to teach others, mentor and coach
  • Knowledge of wireless infrastructure construction process, site acquisition, zoning, permitting, etc.

Organizational Relationship

Reports to: Manager Field Operations

Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable): N/A

Working Conditions: Will be required to travel to project sites with exposure to heavy equipment and environmental conditions approximately 90% of the time. Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions approximately 10% of the time.

The hourly range offered for this position is $38.80 - $53.36 per hour. A candidate’s offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive a minimum of 18 days of paid time off each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
