ABOUT THE ROLE

The System Administrator II (CMDB) is a key member of a cross-functional team supporting Network NOCs and Operations. This role focuses on data analysis, maintenance, and support of the ServiceNow platform, with an emphasis on the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and data analysis. Responsibilities include identifying business needs, defining solutions, promoting best practices, ensuring data and process consistency across regions, and coordinating communication. The position also contributes to system development, implementation, and training efforts to ensure consistent usage across regions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Data model CMDB
  • Primary role to support data loads into the CMDB
  • Participate in enhancement planning to support data modeling and understand data impacts
  • Review of high-level business and user requirements into CMDB and relational database plans
  • Build, test, and implement data transforms to support data ingestion into ServiceNow
  • Perform data audits and corrections
  • Create and maintain transform maps
  • Develop clear, concise requirements specifications using standard templates
  • Maintain system documentation (e.g., user guides, feature communications)
  • Develop and improve processes, procedures, and training to ensure consistent system usage
  • Conduct process reviews, model business processes, and create process maps to ensure data accuracy
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues in operational tools
  • Document problems, resolutions, and configurations for future reference
  • Support automation initiatives for process efficiency

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT) (or equivalent work experience).

Experience Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional technical/industry experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in software and data management.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience with ServiceNow CMDB
  • JavaScript
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience supporting systems and databases
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Knowledge of the Information Systems development lifecycle (e.g., requirements definition, user testing)
  • Quality control experience
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to analyze issues, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions
  • High-level problem-solving skills

Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model, which is 2-days work from home and 3-days in the office to optimize collaboration, relationship building and key stakeholder engagement. Shift: 24x7 coverage. Specific days and hours to be determined

Compensation
The salary range offered for this position is $74100 - $101900 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives.
