ABOUT THE ROLE
Provide technical support for the Field Operations, Maintenance Operations and Network Operations (NOC) teams in all aspects of monitoring, maintaining, and supporting remote critical infrastructure assets including FAA obstruction lighting, emergency power systems, DC power plants, industrial I/O-based control systems, environmental monitoring systems, and physical security systems. Provide technical expertise to resolve field operations issues across a broad range of electrical, control, monitoring, and communications equipment. Work with vendors to evaluate, validate, and certify new technologies and products for operational deployment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Test and evaluate new products for use in field applications, including but not limited to, FAA obstruction lighting systems, backup power systems, remote monitoring devices, environmental sensors and industrial control devices.
- Provide engineering support for backup power systems, including generators, transfer switches, battery systems, and related monitoring equipment.
- Design, integrate, configure, and support industrial I/O-based monitoring and control systems used to manage critical infrastructure assets.
- Evaluate and support DC power plant systems, including rectifiers, battery strings, power distribution equipment.
- Evaluate solutions for physical security systems including access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance.
- Support monitoring of environmental devices including HVAC controls, temperature monitoring, humidity sensing, fuel monitoring, leak detection, and other site condition monitoring technologies.
- Provide effective communication to customers and internal stakeholders regarding issues, resolution alternatives, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Track and manage system performance to identify reliability improvements, operational efficiencies, and equipment lifecycle or obsolescence concerns.
- Facilitate training for internal personnel on equipment operation, maintenance and repair procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and new product deployments.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards, operating procedures, and engineering instructions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and develop implementation standards to improve network reliability, operational visibility, and asset management capabilities.
- Collaborate with vendors, engineering teams, and field operations personnel to resolve complex technical issues and improve system performance.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience and/or technical training in electronics, industrial controls, or related disciplines.
Experience Qualifications
- Three (3)+ years practical experience in critical infrastructure, industrial controls, network systems, electronics, utilities, telecommunications, or a related technical environment.
- Experience with industrial I/O systems, telemetry, PLC-based monitoring systems, DC power systems, backup power systems, environmental controls, or similar technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, control, communications, and monitoring systems preferred.
Expectations
- Technical knowledge of network systems, industrial automation, and data communication protocols.
- Experience working with remote telemetry, IoT and IoT monitoring, analytics, and control systems.
- Knowledge of backup power systems, DC power architecture, battery technologies, generator controls, and facility monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with physical security technologies including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong understanding of environmental monitoring and building systems integration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent personal computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to resolve technical problems with engineers, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and vendors.
- Excellent customer service and analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent technical writing skills to develop methods, procedures, training materials, and engineering documentation.
- Ability to develop, document, and deliver training on existing and emerging technologies.
- Ability to analyze system performance data and implement reliability improvements.
Where You Will Work
To optimize collaboration, relationship building, and key stakeholder engagement, this role aligns to a 4:1 hybrid model which is in office Monday-Thursday with the option for remote work on Fridays. This role may require up to 10% travel.

Compensation
The salary range offered for this position is $77600 - $126940 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives.
