About the role:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Finops Manager / Architect to join our growing Architecture team. As a Finops architect, you will report to the Director of architecture and play a pivotal role across all research and development teams. The position includes direct involvement with our product and operational infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Cyera’s cloud expenditure across AWS, Azure, GCP and snowflake and develop strategies to drive millions in savings through effective cost control, optimization, and vendor negotiations.
• Collaborate with product teams to estimate the cloud cost implications of upcoming features, providing insights that guide product and architectural decisions.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through deep analysis of cloud resource usage and work closely with architects, product managers, and developers to implement cost-efficient solutions.
• Work with technical writers and solution architects to deliver clear and actionable cost estimations for self-deployed customers, helping them gain visibility into their cloud expenditures.
• Build and maintain relationships with cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP), driving savings through programs like Enterprise EDP, MACC, and GCP commit plans.
• Engage with cloud resellers (e.g., DoiT, 2bloud) to explore and implement opportunities for cost optimizations, leveraging their expertise to enhance savings strategies.

• Proven experience in Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps), cloud cost management, or cloud architecture with a focus on cost optimization.
• Strong knowledge of cloud billing models, reserved instances, savings plans, and cost optimization strategies.
• Experience working with cloud architects, product managers, developers, and BI teams to align cloud cost optimization with business and product goals.
• Ability to communicate complex financial insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience negotiating and managing contracts with cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP) and resellers like DoiT and 2bloud, with a focus on Enterprise Discount Programs (EDP), multi-year contracts, and commitment plans.
• Ability to provide clear visibility and forecasting for cloud expenditures.
