Compensation includes a base salary of $117,800.00 - $176,800.00. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the salary range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $0.01.Job Description
- Develop / implement sales plans to maximize margins for Truck Body Sales
- Research & identify revenue and profit opportunities in the market.
- Direct implementation and execution of sales policies and practices that will achieve the sales volume necessary to receive vendor rebates.
- Coordinate regional trade shows promotional activities, design and placement of advertisements in trade journals in conjunction with our Advertising Team.
- Oversee management of new truck body inventories.
- Review and approve sales contracts and commission sheets issues by Truck Body Salespersons.
- Provide guidance for Truck Body Salespersons relating to profit margins and deal management.
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment with the Sales organization.
- Maintain and establish friendly and professional relations with our OE suppliers, customers, and co-workers.
- Promote personal and professional growth of Truck Body Sales Reps in areas of their current responsibilities and future career goals.
- Project a positive and nurturing attitude toward your team, promoting an environment for success and growth.
- Take on other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years of progressive experience in equipment sales, preferably in the transportation industry. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 6 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and up to 3 years of experience; or 12 years’ experience in a related field.
- Must have at least 3 years of leadership experience
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop business relationships at all levels within an organization.
- The ability to negotiate to ensure margin expectations in line with corporate objectives while at the same time meeting customer requirements.
- Successful time and territory experience and strong self-motivation skills.
- Experience in the following areas: sales and service, negotiations, strategic planning, marketing, interpreting management reports, and problem resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead people, get results through others, and provide individuals with professional and personal growth.
- Possesses knowledge of business plans and has exposure to dealership environments.
- Demonstrated business understanding and working knowledge of best practices.
- Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding target.
- Ability to travel up to 50% (day and overnight) as needed is required.
- Previous experience as a field sales executive, sales manager or sales director
- Demonstrated ability to work across a broad range of internal and external constituents and cultures.
- Proficient with Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Other duties as needed or required
- Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes in order to meet business requirements.
