Job Description

Cox is taking a new direction that will reimagine our brand experience — from how we communicate and how it feels to do business with us to the role we play in people’s lives. The success of our approach depends, in part, on our ability to design differentiated customer experiences that deliver measurable value.

The Senior Manager of Communications Design will play a key role in crafting our brand voice in 1:1 customer touchpoints, including onboarding, education, support, and retention/loyalty. This is an individual-contributor role that will require frequent collaboration within Design and with peers in Strategy, Operations, Marketing, Technology, and other teams across the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Define the brand voice for Cox, translating the brand experience strategy into a clear set of principles for how we want customers to feel and how we communicate across touchpoints and intents
  • Develop detailed communications briefs and content strategy for all customer touchpoints, including 1:1 operational messages
  • Oversee the quality of customer communications produced by the various touchpoint owners for consistency with design intent, ensuring they are clear, concise, and compelling and reflect the brand’s values and strategic objectives.
  • Review and edit selected content to model the vision and ensure high-quality output.
  • Push the creative envelope, continually raising the bar on the quality of our design work
  • Execute in a manner that follows CX copywriting / content best practices and meets project goals set out by Strategy and Design teammates
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to align stakeholders on design intent and communication best practices.
  • Ensure accessibility and inclusivity across everything we design to meet diverse user needs

We also encourage diversity and support inclusion; we want you to do you and feel comfortable doing so.
