Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $108,800.00 - $181,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

The Enterprise Applications Services (EAS) – Finance & Supply Chain (FSC) team is seeking a Lead Software Test Engineer who is highly collaborative, motivated, experienced, and skilled to test the Oracle E-Business Suite applications and related integrations. This person will work closely with stakeholders and team members across EAS to deliver value to our customers through quality solutions and problem-solving.


This is a hands-on testing role that will conduct Quality Engineering activities in an Agile environment supporting ERP applications across the enterprise and will also lead the development work for the FINSCM QA Automation team. The ideal candidate has a strong functional background with an understanding of EBS Finance & Supply Chain business processes as well as experience leading QA teams successfully.

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate

  • Partner with analysts, product owners, customers, and developers to gain an understanding of functional and technical requirements, architecture and business processes
  • Collaborate with cross-divisional teams and/or external teams (integration partners) to drive quality for end-to-end product development and share best practices
  • Partner with fellow quality engineering resources on testing activities for releases and strategic initiatives

Lead

  • Support the QA COP with creation of Test Plans, Test Strategies or guidelines that benefit all delivery teams
  • Provide guidance to the automation team on requirements to ensure scripts or solutions are built as per customer needs
  • Conduct training/demo sessions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Mentor automation team members through functional and technical areas
  • Be a role model for teams by taking the lead on difficult defect detection, problem solving, and troubleshooting

Execute

  • Design and Execute automation strategies to improve overall efficiency within the system of delivery
  • Provide accurate metrics and status on automation progress to stakeholders and management
  • Certify readiness of automation deliverables through reviews
  • Facilitate and Support innovation across the automation life cycle
  • Play a key role in identifying new tools, technologies or processes that help improve the automation framework

Automation

  • Support in creating the Automation Strategy and Plan for portfolio-wide automation development, prioritization of automation-feasible test cases, script development and reviews, execution and tracking progress
  • Help automation engineers with troubleshooting issues faced during scripts development and execution, and help remove impediments
  • Expand the scope of automation development across teams through awareness and training
  • Provide strategic inputs for performance testing of Oracle ERP applications and help with planning, data setup, SLAs, and guidelines for performance test execution

Improve and Grow

  • Continuously gather feedback on the testing processes and refine our approach to deliver robust quality solutions and delight our customers.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of testing solutions, methodologies, and techniques to ensure quality is baked into all testing deliverables
  • Exhibit a growth mindset while learning innovative technologies and techniques
  • Formalize test procedures that can be used consistently across all teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 18 years’ experience in a related field
  • 10+ years of experience testing software applications in ORACLE EBS, specifically Financials and Supply Chain Modules
  • 6+ years of leading global automation development teams
  • Excellent implementation knowledge of generally accepted Quality Assurance methodologies and Automation Coding Standards across teams
  • Strong Experience in building or executing automation scripts for enterprise applications using standard automation tools
  • Proficient with QA automation tools like Tricentis TOSCA and/or Selenium, UFT, etc. or similar tools, and have knowledge of UI and REST API automation for ERP applications, Oracle EBS
  • Proficient with Web Services (REST, SOAP) testing & usage with tools like Postman or SOAPUI, etc., and working knowledge of testing integrations with EBS (either through Oracle Integration Cloud or Apigee or any other middleware solution)
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFE, Kanban, TDD, BDD, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of SQL Queries using tools like SQL Server and/or TOAD
