Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $65,500.00 - $98,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

About the Role

We are seeking a talented communications professional to join our Corporate Communications team supporting Fleet Services and FleetNet America. This role will focus on field communications, partnering with Marketing and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a skilled, organized and a highly collaborative communicator with a passion for storytelling and a knack for consolidating information in a clear, concise and digestible way.

** This hybrid position will require coming into the Atlanta office two days/week. (Wednesday's and a second day of your choice.)**

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Field Communications: Develop and execute communication strategies to keep managers and frontline employees informed and engaged.
  • Content Development: Draft internal and external communications, including emails, newsletters, presentations, and team member spotlight stories.
  • Visual Storytelling: Create engaging content such as infographics, video, and other multimedia assets to enhance communication efforts.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with key internal teams, including Operations, HR, and Marketing, to ensure consistent messaging across the organization.
  • Media Relations Support: Help contribute to external stories about team members and company news, working with external agencies and reporters on delivery,
  • Project Management: Support communication initiatives, campaigns, and special projects to align with business objectives.
  • Measurement & Reporting: Track the effectiveness of communication efforts and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Communications administration: Regularly log and track communications activity, assist in creating monthly editorial calendar, as well as build and maintain email distribution lists for communications.
  • Special projects: Assist with special projects, communication plan execution, or other communications initiatives as needed on an ongoing basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years experience; or 6 years experience in a related field
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Open-minded, flexible, adaptable to change and strong team player.
  • Superb writing and editing skills and a strong sense of narrative and story-telling.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
  • Able to treat confidential material appropriately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Design/video editing tool experience (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms).
  • Experience in trucking / transportation industry a plus.
