Compensation includes a base salary of $79,400.00 - $119,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst with experience working in a successful, collaborative team environment reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis. A key responsibility of this Sr. Financial Analyst is supporting our SMART Growth program as well supporting Cox Automotive’s Executive Investment Review committee. This will include key sensitivity analysis, assessment of trends, and enhancement of our finance processes and procedures. Candidates must also have a solid understanding of financial management concepts, complex modeling, accounting procedures, and the ability to analyze large data sets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with value tracking across all SMART Growth initiatives, including in assisting with the creation of all executive leadership presentation materials
Provide modeling and analytical support for Cox Automotive’s 10-year financial model
Partner across the broader finance organization to provide financial transparency as it relates to investment spend
Facilitate coordination, team communication and agenda items as it relates to the Executive Investment Committee
Partnering across the team to provide business case support
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting preferred with 4+ years of relevant experience including a strong focus in Financial Planning and Analysis. A candidate may also have a Master's Degree with 2+ years of experience or a Ph.D. with 1+ year of experience. A non-degreed candidate will have 8+ years of experience.
Strong analytical ability with track record of delivered results
Solid analytical and research capabilities required
Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to prepare executive level presentations and insights
Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple, changing priorities and work under tight deadlines and experienced in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating one’s own work
Work effectively on multiple assignments, activities or projects
Advanced MS Excel skills required, including formulas, financial functions, pivot tables, design, and formatting for executive presentations
Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Planning, Reports, Tableau and Essbase is a strong plus.
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong knowledge of financial concepts, practices and procedures
