What You’ll Do:
Repair and Restoration: Dismantling and Reassembling: Removing and reinstalling vehicle parts if required.
Metalwork: Straightening, welding, and repairing damaged metal panels and plastic parts.
Surface Preparation: Grinding, filing, and sanding repaired surfaces.
Filling and Priming: Applying body filler to smooth out dents and preparing surfaces for paint.
Painting and Refinishing: Preparing for Paint: Ensuring surfaces are clean and properly prepared for painting.
Applying Primer: Applying primer to repaired areas.
Quality Control: Inspecting completed repairs to ensure they meet quality standards.
Following Safety Procedures: Adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
Other Duties: May include assisting with other shop tasks, such as cleaning, etc.
Who You Are:
You’re all about accuracy and the value of attention to detail. You take pride in a day’s work, and love working in an environment where your skills are respected and developed. You have the following qualifications:
Minimum:
3+ years of experience as a body repair technician or equivalent repair experience.
Safe drivers are needed; a valid driver’s license is required.
The ability to drive standard, automatic, and electric vehicles.
Ability to use hand tools, grinders, sanders, and other specialized equipment.
Understanding of vehicle frame alignment and repair procedures.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
Good manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred:
A high school diploma or its equivalent.
Certifications in auto body repair and welding
