Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $59,600.00 - $89,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

The System Administrator configures, implements, and supports most cloud environments at Cox Automotive. As part of the Engineering Enablement, you are responsible to deliver best-in-class support to enable hundreds of teams across the organization to be successful and productive. The System Administrator will provide technical guidance and act as a point of escalation for most platforms in Engineering Enablement organization. You will be expected to respond to our customers with professionalism and provide timely resolution to their issues. You thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere where wearing multiple hats is encouraged. You learn new skills and technology quickly. You have strong collaboration/communication skills.

Candidates may reside in Atlanta, Georgia or Dallas, Texas.

Your Role:

  • Supporting Cox Automotive employees through troubleshooting and assistance with ServiceNOW tickets.
  • Assisting customers in their cloud migrations with configuration, deletion, and deployment of various cloud resources.
  • Assisting customers with access and other platform issues where automation has failed.
  • Ensures all documentation and knowledge bases are updated to help encourage good collaboration within and outside of our group.
  • Participate in best practices, code reviews, and process improvements.
  • Perform architectural cloud review of incoming requests to assess and make recommendations to our customers.
  • Analyzing current processes in the Engineering Business Operations group and identifying ways of improving processes.
  • Passionate and flexible engineer that enjoys solving complex problems.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 4 years' professional experience in a related field.
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar tool
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services or Azure web service

Preferred:

  • Previous employment or contract experience with Cox preferred.
  • Experience programming with Python or other object-oriented programming language
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team with great organizational skills.
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
