Compensation includes a base salary of $79,400.00 - $119,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Cox Automotive is hiring a Manager of Acccounts Receivable. The Manager of Accounts Receivable is responsible for leading collections activity and cash application within Fleet Services. In this role, the individual will be responsible for leading a geographically dispersed team tasked with managing a quickly revolving AR portfolio averaging more than $80M. They will oversee and be the top escalation point for a team with one Supervisor and approximately 16 team members. This position will work to establish and implement process improvement plans to create the optimal Fleet Services AR process.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills with a track record of success in accounts receivable best practices and process improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide client account and process expertise to resolve escalated client issues and collection scenarios
Monitor and assign workloads based on portfolio volumes; as well as develop and maintain effective metrics and reporting to highlight team contribution and efficiency
Partner with Legal team on escalated collection/legal scenarios
Manage credit onboarding of new clients along with credit overrides and review for permanent increases
Responsible for department process development and SOP documentation
Provide input and partner with leadership on issues of policy/process gaps and changes
Training and development responsibility for team members
Provide updates to stakeholders in monthly collections meeting on high visibility collection issues and general AR performance
Ensure all inbound payments (credit card, ACH, and wires) are applied correctly and within established SLA’s
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance and/or Accounting with 6+ years of experience in accounts receivable. A candidate may also have a Master's Degree with 4+ years of experience; a Ph.D. with 1+ years of experience; or 10+ years of experience in related field.
Expertise in Credit/Collection including best practices, technologies, and tools
Proven track record in successfully leading a large department with tight deadlines and improving efficiencies based on targeted metrics
Ability to manage multiple priorities and specific time constraint
Mobility or automotive industry experience strongly preferred
Experience managing staff/projects from remote locations
