Does this resonate with you? We’re hiring a UX Architect I at Cox Automotive, and you might just be the perfect person for the job. This entry-level role entails helping users achieve goals and complete tasks, translating project goals into interactive experiences and contributing to prototype development. The right candidate will be metric-sensitive, adept at translating interaction design concepts across platforms and able to communicate functional design to delivery teams.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll develop a deep understanding of customers and business needs by assisting in user research activities, including persona development, heuristic evaluation and usability reviews. You’ll also:
· Lead the assessment of competitive user experiences.
· Identify strategic opportunities for competitive advantage based on findings.
· Examine web analytics to inform user interactions and designs.
· Collaborate with product, design, content, and development teams.
· Facilitate user scenario planning and tasks with Cox Automotive’s product team.
· Translate business requirements into simple, highly usable and compelling interface layouts.
· Create site maps, user flows, wireframes and interactive mock-ups/prototypes (lo/high fidelity).
· Integrates personas/segmentations with related deliverables.
· Utilize the Design System to facilitate a familiar, delightful and efficient user experience.
· Collaborate with technical teams to determine data accessibility and understand technology constraints/advantages for the design structure.
· Ensure developers understand specifications.
· Support usability testing by creating working models of the experience design.
· Create and support the information architecture of navigation, content, etc.
· Champion user needs and product usability while balancing business and technical constraints.
· Articulate rationale behind interface decisions and how to prioritize interface features.
· Identify tools, templates and techniques to evolve existing processes.
Who You Are
An empathetic individual, you can think like our users, deal with ambiguity and make intuitive leaps to hypothesize product design solutions. You also have the following:
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years’ experience in a related field
- Knowledge or understanding of user-centered design methods, techniques and other UX principles.
- Basic understanding and proficiency with Figma
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Prior experience as a UX Architect II, designing for mobile devices, including responsive design is a plus.
- Experience working with teams on large-scale, long-term projects.
- Experience with group facilitation.
- Able to work on multiple projects with competing priorities simultaneously.
- Able to make intuitive leaps to hypothesize design solutions.
- Able to understand the big picture along with expert attention to fine detail.
- Able to deal with ambiguity and to convincingly articulate ideas and rationale.
- Able to work across multiple internal business units and companies.
- Able to work both solo and within a team.
- Able to lead and influence without direct authority.
