Compensation includes a base salary of $59,600.00 - $89,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Marketing Specialist II

Cox Automotive is looking for a passionate, detail-enthusiast who loves working collaboratively to solve challenges and lead the execution of detailed projects. This role will support the Autotrader team, which is part of the Retail organization, with Client Sales Enablement and Retention efforts and reports to the Product Marketing Manager.

The Marketing Specialist II is responsible for sales enablement activities to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new dealers through sales enablement and support. This is a highly collaborative role, and the Marketing Specialist II works lockstep with Product, Sales, Sales Strategy, Operations, Analytics, and external marketing agency teams to implement plans that effectively enable sales, support dealer retention efforts, and align brand campaigns.

This position has a hybrid schedule and is expected to be in the office on Mondays and Wednesdays with the ability to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

What You’ll Do

  • Understand and support our sales channels, training them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users. Develop internal tools and content and teach them how and when to use it.

  • Create and write marketing and sales assets (i.e., data sheets, 1-pagers, web and email assets, FAQS, case studies, testimonials, “buddy” emails, and more) for all phases of the marketing and sales lifecycle

  • Socialize collateral and gain input and buy-off across cross functional teams and within marketing. Provide regular stakeholder updates on content execution and utilization results.

  • Attend weekly product launch update meetings and represent product marketing in the cross-functional program management go to market.

  • Understand and document our buyer’s journey and jobs-to-be-done, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Drive changes to our sales enablement and strategies based on what you learn.

Who You Are

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years’ experience in a related field (Marketing, Advertising, Communications, etc.). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience (in B2B, brand or product marketing) ; or 6 years’ experience in a related field.

Preferred

  • Resourceful and enthusiastic self-starter who can lead marketing content strategies and execution in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be a strong team player and work with a wide range of stakeholders to drive projects forward from start to finish.

  • Project Management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Balanced mix of strategic and executional capabilities with strong written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability to manage marketing agencies with development of creative assets

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Monday.com project management tools
