Compensation includes a base salary of $134,900.00 - $224,900.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

The Business Operations & Transformation Director is a strategic and operational leader who reports directly to the AVP, Strategic Operations & Transformation. This role encompasses two primary areas of responsibility: serving as a critical driver of enterprise-wide AI transformation and providing operational leadership support for CAPTG Product & Technology Group executive operations. The role requires exceptional strategic thinking, operational expertise, and stakeholder management skills to drive transformational change while ensuring seamless execution of CPO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) priorities. The ideal candidate is AI-forward, leveraging AI tools daily to model the transformation they champion.

In the transformation domain, this role advances enterprise AI adoption by partnering with CAPTG and functional leaders, AI Business Champions, and other key stakeholders to drive AI transformation across functional areas to implement governance frameworks and drive adoption program. In the operational domain, the role provides critical leadership support for CPO/SLT activities including OKR management, executive forums, quarterly reporting, and strategic coordination. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker who can navigate complexity, influence without authority, and deliver results across both transformation initiatives and operational excellence.

Enterprise Transformation Leader

  • Partner with CAPTG and functional leaders, AI Business Champions, and other key stakeholders to drive AI transformation across functional areas.

  • Implement and operationalize the Enterprise Governance Framework for AI initiatives across CAPTG.

  • Coordinate Champions network activities, including immersion events, training programs, and knowledge sharing.

  • Track and report on transformation initiative progress, identifying risks and driving resolution.

  • Facilitate governance discussions and decision-making forums to ensure alignment on AI adoption standards and practices.

  • Build and maintain relationships with Business Champions, serving as their point of contact for transformation support.

CPO/SLT Operations & Strategic Support

  • Manage key SLT meeting cadences including CAPTG SLT Standup, Staff Meetings, Offsites, and SVP Steerco meetings.

  • Develop agendas, materials, and follow-up actions for leadership forums to ensure productive and outcome-driven sessions.

  • Coordinate the quarterly CPO Report process, managing cross-functional contributors and ensuring timely delivery.

  • Lead the 2026 OKR Process across CAPTG, driving enterprise-wide strategic alignment through cascading OKR framework.

  • Support Monthly CEI Report preparation and submission.

  • Facilitate AVP+ meetings and other leadership forums as required.

  • Provide operational glue across SLT leadership, ensuring alignment and coordination on strategic priorities.

Program Management Excellence

  • Lead and manage special projects and initiatives spanning both transformation and operational domains.

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Track and report on progress across multiple concurrent initiatives, resolving issues and escalating risks appropriately.

  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and ensure effective collaboration across organizational boundaries.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and nurture relationships with Business Champions, SLT members, and key stakeholders across CAPTG and Cox Automotive businesses.

  • Facilitate collaboration across stakeholders, ensuring cross-functional alignment on transformation and operational priorities.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to leadership, providing candid feedback and alternative perspectives.

  • Manage stakeholder communication for transformation initiatives.

Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 10 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 5 years' experience in a related field; or 14 years' experience in a related field.

  • 10+ years of work experience in businesses based on data, technology, and/or software for the automotive or related industry preferred.

  • 5+ years of enterprise transformation or organizational change experience, with demonstrated success driving adoption of new technologies or operating models.

  • Experience supporting C-suite executives and senior leadership teams in fast-paced, matrixed organizations.

  • Exposure to P&L financial management with working knowledge of budgeting concepts and ROI tracking.

  • Understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience with AI transformation initiatives strongly preferred.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences from technical teams to executive leadership.

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical thinker with ability to synthesize complex information and drive data-driven decision making.

  • Proven ability to influence without authority across all levels of the organization.

  • Aptitude for and demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve productivity and operational effectiveness.

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

  • Strong emotional intelligence and stakeholder management skills with proven track record building trusted relationships across organizational boundaries.
