Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $134,900.00 - $224,900.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

**Strong preference for candidates located in or preparing to relocate to Atlanta or Kansas City.**

The Director, VinSolutions CRM is accountable for leading, scaling, and evolving the VinSolutions Core CRM business. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, Lead Management, Communications, Integrations, and Reporting. As the owner of Core CRM, this leader informs the long‑term vision, drives enterprise‑wide execution, and ensures VinSolutions continues to deliver dealer value.


This role serves as the champion for Core CRM strategy and execution integrating dealer feedback and competitive intelligence, AI enablement, and platform priorities into a unified operating plan. The Director will influence cross‑functional teams across Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Performance Management, and Finance to accelerate CRM growth, strengthen competitive differentiation, and shape the connected Cox Automotive retail experience.


The role also directly manages one team member who supports Core CRM strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Ownership

  • Inform the multi‑year and annual strategic roadmap for VinSolutions Core CRM.

  • Translate market trends, competitive insights, and dealer feedback into actionable strategy.

  • Partner with enterprise data and AI teams to embed advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and AI‑driven workflows into CRM capabilities.

  • Assess business‑unit maturity, identify strategic gaps, and recommend improvements aligned with enterprise priorities.

2. Enterprise Execution & Operating Rigor

  • Drive disciplined execution of the CRM operating plan across matrix organization.

  • Develop metrics and reporting frameworks to track impact, adoption, and performance of CRM initiatives.

  • Ensure alignment with Cox Automotive’s enterprise platform vision and cross‑retail integration strategy.

3. Product Execution & Transformation

  • Convert strategic vision into detailed roadmaps, investment plans, and execution milestones.

  • Partner closely with product and engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality features.

  • Champion dealer workflow design, ensuring communications, lead management, and reporting tools reflect real-world operational needs.

  • Identify and mitigate execution risks; adjust plans based on market changes or enterprise priorities.

4. Cross‑Functional Influence & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Deliver compelling, data‑driven recommendations to influence enterprise prioritization and investment decisions.

  • Build strong relationships to foster shared ownership of CRM outcomes and create alignment across the organization.

  • Serve as a senior CRM thought leader with dealers, OEMs, strategic partners, and external audiences.

5. Business Performance & Growth

  • Lead business performance insights, identifying opportunities for revenue growth, operational efficiency, and market differentiation.

  • Use data to define performance standards, measure success, and continuously optimize CRM utilization across the dealer base.

  • Partner with Sales and GTM teams to drive adoption, enablement, and competitive positioning.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 10 years experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 8 years experience; a Ph.D. and 5 years experience in a related field; or 14 years experience in a related field.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience leading strategy or product portfolios in complex organizations.

  • Demonstrated success driving large‑scale, cross‑functional initiatives from strategy through execution.

  • Ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment without formal authority.

  • Strong execution discipline with a track record of delivering strategic outcomes.

  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and data-driven decision‑making capabilities.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and provide clarity in fast-moving environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) and their practical application in a business environment preferred.

  • Dealer, OEM or automotive client experience preferred.
