Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $24.23 - $36.35/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support the design and development of wiring harness tester breakout PCBs. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineering student interested in electronics design, testing, and manufacturing support. The intern will work closely with experienced engineers to develop practical hardware used to validate wiring harnesses for production and engineering applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop breakout PCBs for wiring harness test systems

  • Translate wiring schematics and harness drawings into PCB designs

  • Create schematics, PCB layouts, and design documentation

  • Select appropriate connectors, components, and materials for test fixtures

  • Support prototype assembly, bring-up, and validation testing

  • Debug electrical issues using common lab equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, continuity testers, etc.)

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • Basic understanding of circuit design and electrical schematics

  • Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g. KiCad, Eagle)

  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and pinout documentation

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Willingness to work hands-on with hardware and prototypes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with connectors, cabling, or wiring harnesses

  • Prior PCB layout experience, including multi-layer boards

  • Familiarity with test equipment and lab safety practices

  • Exposure to manufacturing or design-for-test principles
