Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $179,600.00 - $299,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

General Description:

The Sr Director, Business Development is responsible for devising and executing strategies and tactics for vAuto’s Pricing capability within Inventory Management Solutions (IMS). This leader will drive go-to-market execution, commercial strategy, and operational rigor for the product, partnering closely with Product & Tech, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Support, and Implementation to deliver strong customer outcomes and profitable growth. The individual will bring deep expertise in pricing and market data, its customers, and the competitive market to inform planning, prioritization, and decision-making.

This role owns the roadmap, revenue plan, and key KPIs for Pricing and related data, focusing on profitable growth, KPI performance, and market share expansion. This leader will define targets, track performance, and drive actions in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve agreed-upon outcomes for the product.

This role works closely with adjacent IMS teams and partner solution sets to identify and execute integration, bundling, and packaging opportunities that improve customer value for Pricing. The Sr Director will translate complex business and customer needs into clear commercial plans, remove obstacles to execution, and ensure internal alignment from concept through launch.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Leads development and execution of the commercial strategy for Pricing and related data and algorithms, including positioning, segmentation, and go-to-market plans.
  • Partners with the IMS Solution Set Leader and cross-functional leaders to align product growth priorities, operating rhythms, and performance management
  • Drives continued growth of vAuto within the automotive market; influences pricing and packaging; coordinates marketing campaigns; and works across functions to improve customer adoption, retention, and expansion.
  • Identifies and executes integration and partnership opportunities that strengthen the value proposition and customer experience.
  • Leads cross-functional execution (Product & Tech, Marketing, Sales, Finance, People Solutions) to deliver on the product’s growth priorities, objectives, and launch plans.
  • Maintains a close understanding of evolving customer, competitive, and market trends; converts insights into actionable plans; and aligns resources to anticipate and meet customer needs.
  • Manages vital client and stakeholder relationships, escalations, and service delivery challenges; ensures a consistent client experience; and partners across the organization to resolve cross-functional issues impacting Pricing and related data
  • Reviews and analyzes drivers of profitability and growth; synthesizes inputs from multiple sources; and presents data-driven recommendations to senior leaders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree with 10+ years progressive experience in a SaaS environment or equivalent combination of education and experience (MS + 8 years of experience OR Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience OR 14+ years of relevant experience with no degree)
  • Automotive experience is required
  • Previous experience running operations; preferably software related
  • Previous experience with P&L responsibility preferred
  • Previous experience leading teams
  • Experience working, presenting, and communicating with key stakeholders
  • Knowledge: Strong experience in the strategic planning process, market research, and analysis
