Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Software Developer to join our Consulting & Professional Services team, focused on cloud‑native development and software modernization. This is a hands‑on engineering role for an early‑career developer who is eager to grow, contribute to real customer solutions, and build production software alongside experienced engineers and technical leads.

The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, and motivated to learn modern development practices, including cloud platforms, APIs, and AI‑assisted coding tools.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to the development of full‑stack and API‑driven applications using modern frameworks and cloud services
  • Implement features, bug fixes, and enhancements across front‑end and back‑end systems under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Work with technical leads to translate requirements into well‑defined tasks and deliver high‑quality code
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and code reviews
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code following established engineering standards
  • Learn and apply cloud‑native concepts such as managed services, infrastructure‑as‑code, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Troubleshoot issues across development and test environments, escalating thoughtfully when needed
  • Collaborate effectively with teammates, including UI/UX designers, cloud engineers, and client‑facing consultants
  • Actively use AI‑assisted coding tools to improve learning, productivity, and code quality
  • Document designs, decisions, and implementation details to support team knowledge sharing

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years’ experience in a related field (i.e. professional software development experience).
  • Experience with at least one modern programming language such as JavaScript / TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#
  • Familiarity with web application development, including RESTful APIs
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Experience using Git and participating in code reviews
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum development practices
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a willingness to ask questions and learn

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Kiro OpenCode, or equivalent).
  • Hands‑on experience with React, Node.js, or similar modern frameworks
  • Exposure to cloud native services.
  • Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Interest in cloud modernization, microservices, and DevOps practices
