Job Description

Every year, Manheim moves millions of vehicles across its auction network — and the operational infrastructure powering that movement is ready for transformation. As a Product Manager II on the Lot Operations Modernization team, you won't just manage a backlog. You'll help define what the future of lot operations looks like — identifying the highest-value problems, assessing emerging technologies, and building products that directly reduce cost, eliminate waste, and improve the experience of the people doing the work every day.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Contribute to a high-impact problem space. You'll support product management efforts across a set of interconnected operational challenges — from labor visibility and vehicle move efficiency to planning gaps and the lack of consistent standards across the auction network. You'll build your product instincts in a real environment, working alongside experienced PMs, operators, and cross-functional partners every day.

  • Participate in discovery efforts — conducting research, engaging with field users, and helping to evaluate whether problems are real, relevant, and worth solving within the context of the team's strategy

  • Support the grooming and maintenance of well-defined backlogs — translating validated problems into clearly written features and user stories that engineering teams can act on

  • Leverage customer feedback, operational data, and user experience insights to identify opportunities for product enhancements and surface them to the team

  • Define and track KPIs for assigned product areas, monitoring results and flagging when outcomes are trending off course

  • Partner with UX designers, data and analytics teams, and engineering to ensure solutions are well-specified, feasible, and grounded in real user needs

  • Help develop business case documentation and product collateral in support of prioritization and stakeholder alignment

  • Use AI to accelerate discovery, experimentation, development, and recommend improvements

  • Adopt AI tooling and employ a mindset and focus on how they should think about and approach their work in the PDLC

  • Share learnings openly — contributing to a discovery culture that values transparency, iteration, and continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with PMs and cross-functional partners on the release train to stay aligned and avoid duplication across problem areas

WHO YOU ARE

You're a Product Manager who is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to develop your craft in a complex, operationally rich environment. You ask good questions, take feedback well, and are motivated by seeing your work connect to real outcomes. You understand that the problems you're handed come with context — a strategy that defines the playing field — and you use that context to evaluate what you learn and help the team focus on what matters most.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2 years of experience; or a master's degree and up to 2 years of experience; or 6 years of experience in a related field with no degree

  • Foundational skills in managing multiple priorities, requirements analysis, and technology integration

  • Ability to leverage customer feedback, data, and user experience insights to identify product opportunities and enhancements

  • Comfortable working cross-functionally — able to build relationships and coordinate effectively with engineering, UX, and operations partners

  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodology

  • High integrity; focused on execution, building partnerships, and striving for excellence in everything you ship

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
