Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $22.07 - $33.13/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

The Automotive Technician I is a mid-level technician responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services for fleet vehicles. This role emphasizes exceptional customer satisfaction while ensuring cost-effective service delivery. The technician may work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record
  • Minimum of 3 years of vehicle service and repair experience
  • Ability to operate both standard and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds (tools and equipment)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance services, including:

    • Oil changes
    • Oil, fuel, and transmission filter replacements
    • Transmission flushes
    • Inspections for mechanical deficiencies
  • Execute light repairs as required based on inspection findings

  • Perform repairs and maintenance based on certification level, including:

    • OBD II systems
    • Brake systems
    • Tire services
    • Tune-ups
    • Suspension components
    • Aerial lift systems
    • Electrical systems
    • State safety inspections
    • Interior and exterior components
    • Engine and drivetrain components
  • Maintain and repair equipment such as:

    • Cable trailers
    • Laptop docking stations
  • Assist with more complex repairs and advanced diagnostics as needed

  • Perform moderate fabrication tasks, including:

    • Equipment design
    • Welding and custom modifications
  • Troubleshoot and repair specialized fleet systems, including:

    • Hydraulic systems
    • Generators
    • Electrical systems
    • Hybrid vehicle systems
    • Onboard computer systems
  • Ensure operational readiness and availability of specialized fleet vehicles

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to obtain a minimum of four (4) ASE certifications within 18 months of employment
  • Ongoing commitment to training and development to maintain ASE certifications and stay current with evolving automotive technologies

Benefits
