We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.

This role is Hybrid and will be based out of our HQ office near London Bridge and your home.

The Global Grocery Grocery, Strategy & Analytics team reports into the VP of Global Grocery & Retail and the Deliveroo COO. We are responsible for setting the strategy and leveraging the best that Deliveroo has to offer to win in the new and highly competitive on-demand grocery market. The work is project-based; starting from initial strategic questions, we work through data to drive the right decisions before setting the implementation in action. As such the team is a great balance between high-impact strategic questions and seeing the impact of your decisions. The culture within the grocery team is informal, fast-paced and entrepreneurial. Given the growth of the business and the senior stakeholder exposure, progression in the team can be fast.

In this role you'll be finding solutions to some of the toughest and most exciting questions we must answer at Deliveroo. We are looking for a critical thinker to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive our business decisions. You will be working on projects end to end that provides strategic recommendations to the VP of Grocery & Retail and the COO. • What matters most to customers when deciding between online grocery options? (e.g. price, speed, service, product range)
  • How best can we support a particular market in delivering their growth targets?

Qualities We're Looking For

  • DECISIVE AND INFLUENTIAL: you should thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable with suggesting quick yet calculated recommendations and communicating persuasively, even in times of ambiguity. More importantly, you must have a strong desire to galvanise action within Deliveroo.
  • ANALYTICAL AND COLLABORATIVE: there will be number-crunching involved, but your role will also be about working with our teams in product, category management and finance, understanding how your insights are aligned with the direction the business is heading in.
  • STRUCTURED: you will be working on multiple projects and competing priorities at the same time - from helping to lead a project, to analysing a problem and communicating recommendations in a concise manner, you will need to be methodical and rigorous in your approach.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has 2-4 years experience in consulting, investment banking or in a strategy function; experience in logistics, e-commerce or a customer-obsessed business is a plus.
  • Has a hands-on mentality and is willing to get stuck into building the future of on-demand grocery.
  • Can prioritise effectively while working on multiple projects concurrently and independently.
  • Is adept at conducting 80/20 analysis, drawing out business insights from that analysis and presenting findings and recommendations persuasively.

  • Highly analytical mindset with the ability to break down large data sets and turn them into actionable insights
  • Strong presentation skills and an ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences in a clear, simple way, both written and verbally.
  • London-based with a minimum of three days required in the office
