Finance Assistant

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Finance team shapes the company's future by directing capital to high-impact investments, developing robust financial strategies, and ensuring we deliver long-term value while pursuing our ambitious mission.

We’re looking for a Finance Assistant to join our London team. In this role, you’ll help us maintain the integrity of our global reporting process, ensuring accurate monthly results and seamless collaboration with auditors and internal stakeholders.

Get to know our Finance team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Global Reporting team. We are the backbone of Deliveroo’s financial accuracy, moving at pace to reconcile complex accounts across multiple jurisdictions and translating operational data into high-quality financial reports.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Month-End Execution: Assist with the reporting cycle by posting journals and managing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure a "no surprises" close.

  • Specialised Accounting: Take ownership of property costs for the region, ensuring correct accounting treatment and reconciliation of key account balances.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with regional partners to ensure receipting and reporting are accurate, resolving any discrepancies as they arise.

  • Process Improvement: Interact with departments across multiple jurisdictions—including local operations and analytics—to streamline and improve reporting workflows.

  • Audit & Compliance: Work directly with auditors to fulfil requests and provide clear, accurate responses to their queries.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • Progressing Qualification: You are currently part-qualified and actively pursuing an ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.

  • Ownership Mindset: A strong desire to take responsibility for your work and "own" specific financial processes from start to finish.

  • Collaborative People Skills: Proven ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders across a global business.

  • Analytical Accuracy: Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve issues within complex account balances.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing a hybrid schedule (3 days per week in our London HQ).

Why Join Us?
