What we do

Join a team of passionate and hardworking entrepreneurs to transform healthcare!

Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with engineering, design, and business teams.

At Doctolib, we build products that need to scale to millions of people throughout Europe and to yet remain easily maintainable by hundreds of developers. We do several daily deployments, and run 25K+ automated tests through our CI pipeline. The backend runs on Ruby on Rails, backed by PostgreSQL and MongoDB. Our PostgreSQL databases represent a total of 30TB and receive 30M queries by minute under high traffic.

What you’ll do

As an Engineering Manager you will join Doctolib’s Notification Traffic Control (NTC) team whose mission is to maintain the service in charge of sending emails, SMS and push notifications to all our end users.

We are sending 10 million messages per day and expect to multiply the volume in the next months and years. With an emphasis on scalability, deliverability and speed we are continuing to launch new efforts, including an automatic load-balancing between providers and a retry system.

You will be both a technical leader and a people manager, coaching and training your team members while building an amazing engineering organization at Doctolib. In this role, you will:

  • Ensure business objectives are met as a team, by driving growth and performance of each team member;
  • Set the roadmap for your team, and be the end-to-end owner of the team’s delivery and quality.
  • Participate in code reviews and be hands-on if required;
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to up-level our engineering team;
  • Together with your product partner, define a mission, vision for your team and align on a clear roadmap to make it happen.
  • Set standards and exceed security, reliability, performance and scalability requirements that are needed to continue to be the most trusted e-health SaaS
  • Participate in architecture reviews to ensure that the solution delivered by your team meets Doctolib quality standards.
  • Partner with Talent & People teams to recruit, develop and retain talent.
