What you'll do
We are looking for a Sr. Engagement Manager, Enterprise segment to join our Engagement Management Team within Professional Services. The Sr. Engagement Manager fulfills the role of a trusted advisor to sales and customers with a deep understanding of end-to-end professional services, enablement and strategy. They have the ability to understand a customer’s needs, convey steps that customers can take to be successful, recommend best practices in deploying software, and align the right services to promote successful customer outcomes. The Sr. Engagement Manager will be expected to meet quarterly and annual services quotas, providing proactive deal management, forecasting accuracy and helping drive adoption and subscription consumption through the selling of services. This role will also be responsible for collaborating closely with the Customer Success and operations teams to ensure services opportunities result in successful deployments and CSAT.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Lead Engagement Manager.
Responsibility
- Develop strong relationships with Field Sales, Customers, Customer Success, and Operations to ensure alignment and partnerships to support field sales through services selling
- Engage in account planning, align to the account team’s deal strategies and recommend the appropriate services including implementation, advisory, training and strategy services to support Customer outcomes
- Own services sales with the ability to scope services, propose and recommend approaches to customers, and estimate work effort to develop a Statement of Work, redline and complete deals from pitch to deal closure
- Communicate technical concepts in business or technical terms
- Maintain a deep understanding of services and what outcomes are achieved when each type of services are used by customers
- Understand project methodologies (Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall) and be able to communicate the differences of each as well as how the projects are managed in each approach
- Partner with Professional Services and Customer Success Teams to ensure appropriate knowledge transfer is conducted once a deal is sold and to support the team when challenges arise
- Have familiarity and experience working with SI Partners and the partner engagement dynamic
- Be an active leader within the Engagement Management team that provides peer coaching, guides new hires, and shares knowledge across the global Engagement Manager team
- Be responsible for accurate estimates of work effort and Statements of Work with detailed scope to align customer expectations to successful project implementation outcomes
- Be responsible for managing pipeline, forecasting accuracy, driving mutual close plans and hitting quota targets quarterly and annually
- Travel, typically, 25%

What you bring
Basic
- 8+ years of experience in an enterprise level software consulting or services sales role
- Bachelors’ Degree
- Background in consulting as a consultant
Preferred
- Proven track record for attaining and exceeding annual quota
- Understanding of enterprise development lifecycle (Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall) and ability to communicate the differences of each as well as how the projects are managed in each approach
- Knowledge of SaaS and Cloud-based offerings and ability to sell across Docusign’s portfolio
- Knowledge of large, global field organizations and customers
- Senior member of the Engagement Manager team that may lead initiatives and support the growth of other Engagement Managers on the team
- Collaborative and open to support the team on deals, processes, and share skills of how to be most productive as an Engagement Manager
- Self starter that initiates their own personal growth through independent learning of Docusign’s Agreement Cloud and methods to support customers in digitizing their System of Agreement
- Excellent team building, verbal and written communication skills as well as reporting and presentation expertise
- Experience with Salesforce.com Opportunities and pipeline management
Wage Transparency
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $122,700.00 - $183,150.00 base salary
Illinois and Colorado: $119,800.00 - $173,650.00 base salary
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $119,800.00 - $177,900.00 base salary
Washington DC: $122,700.00 - $177,900.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
