Company Overview

Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people’s lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).

What you'll do

The Legal Data Specialist role is at the intersection of Docusign’s Legal, Data Science and Product functions, and is focused on the application of legal and contractual knowledge to deliver the highest quality data annotation for Machine Learning (ML) purposes. The role is part of the AI team, consisting of Engineering, Applied Science, Product Management and Legal team partners globally.

The candidate shall work closely with these internal teams as well as with third-party annotation vendors, drawing on their experience in legal and data fields to drive research and evaluation of data acquisition and labeling efforts to build high-quality contractual and legal domain datasets.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and with third-party data annotation vendors to deliver the highest quality labeling for consumption by ML team partners
  • Work together with the AI and ML team to perform research, testing and evaluation of existing and emerging annotation methods and technologies that could be effectively applied to contractual and legal data
  • Develop an understanding of the technologies and methods used within Docusign product development, working closely with the product team and engineers to deliver the highest quality data annotations aligned with product development timelines
  • Be the primary point of contact for internal collaborators to answer legal domain questions
