What you'll do

As a Product Design Intern at Docusign, you will contribute to the vision, strategy, and execution of key initiatives within the core product team, focused on improving our document template experience. You will collaborate closely with experienced Product Design, Product Manager, and Engineering team members, as well as other stakeholder groups like engineering, design, marketing, and customer success teams, to build scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers, developers, partners, and enterprise users.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Product Design.

Responsibility

  • Learn about the design process, pushing yourself to take chances and explore big ideas before narrowing in on feasible, inventive solutions that consider the small details

  • Get to know how our partners work, including product management, engineering, user research and tech writers

  • Work on a project that is tailored to your interests and skill set, with potential deliverables including storyboards, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and pixel-perfect visual assets for web and mobile

  • Participate in team critiques by presenting work and providing thoughtful feedback on projects others are working on

  • Work within Docusign’s design system to maintain consistency across the ecosystem

  • Utilize all available data points at your disposal, such as analytics and user research

  • Contribute to a creative, supportive culture for the entire UX Design team

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or above in a design-related field

  • Experience with design and prototyping tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud as well as AI tools like Vercel

  • Online portfolio of your work (add website and/or upload work samples to system when applying, if not on resume)

Preferred

  • Talented designer who wants to learn more about the dynamic nature of dreaming big, yet working within constraints to deliver products that people love

  • An interest in all facets of UX design, from interaction and visual design to prototyping and user research

  • Natural communicator who clearly articulates design decisions

  • Curious, open-minded and ego-free, with a growth mindset who thrives on continuous learning

  • Personal motivation and drive to get things done in a dynamic, rapid growth environment

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $38/hour - $43/hour

Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $38/hour - $43/hour
