What you'll do
Docusign is seeking a Senior Tax Manager - Reporting and Compliance to join Docusign. This position will report to the Director of Tax Reporting and Compliance and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the global provision and U.S. federal income tax. The ideal candidate has deep technical ASC 740 tax accounting expertise, significant experience in managing complex global income tax end-to-end processes, strong organizational and communication skills and demonstrated capabilities in leading high performing teams.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Tax Provision & Reporting Director.
Responsibility
Oversee quarterly and annual global provision calculations and disclosure under ASC 740
Manage preparation and filing of US federal and state tax returns
Lead internal cash tax and effective tax rate forecasting processes
Analyze and effectively communicate global income tax results, including impacts of legislative changes, uncertain tax positions, return-to-provision adjustments, and significant transactions
Prepare and review complex federal tax calculations and technical documentation ensuring accuracy and adherence to federal tax law
Maintain and enhance documentation, internal workpapers, and support for external audit and SOX 404 compliance
Identify and implement improvements in systems, tools, and processes to drive accuracy and efficiency
Collaborate extensively as a strategic liaison across Accounting, Finance, Legal, Internal Audit, Treasury and cross-functional Tax teams to ensure accurate reporting and support business objectives
Manage a high performing team, focused on leading effective operations and coaching, mentoring and developing talent
Job Designation
Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring
Basic
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Certified Public Accountant
12+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, including public accounting and/or corporate tax department roles
Experience working with large, multinational, public companies is required.
Preferred
Master’s in Tax or Accounting
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and manage an array of competing priorities
Deep technical knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. federal tax, including domestic and US-international tax regimes
Experience managing and improving end-to-end global provision processes and federal tax processes for complex multinational public companies
Wage Transparency
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $157,500.00 - $254,350.00 base salary
Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $151,200.00 - $213,600.00 base salary
Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $151,200.00 - $222,450.00 base salary
Washington DC: $157,500.00 - $222,450.00 base salary
Ohio: $131,900.00 - $186,275.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for the following:
- Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
- Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
