Role Description
As an experienced L&D Program Manager at Dropbox, you will lead the strategy, planning, execution, and continuous improvement of high-impact learning programs across the employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of programs while ensuring they connect into a seamless, scalable learning experience. You’ll look across the portfolio, not just within individual programs, to identify gaps, reduce fragmentation, and improve how learning shows up for employees. You will manage and evolve multiple learning initiatives simultaneously—bringing strong systems thinking, learning operations expertise, and a learner-first mindset to your work.
You’ll ensure our learning technology ecosystem is not only integrated, but continuously evolving—leveraging new tools, platforms, and emerging capabilities (including AI and automation) to drive more personalized, scalable, and impactful learning experiences. You’ll play a key role in identifying opportunities for innovation, piloting new approaches, and translating them into sustainable solutions that enhance how learning is delivered and experienced at Dropbox. This role is ideal for someone who is highly operational, systems-minded, and motivated to make complex environments work simply.
In this highly cross-functional role, you’ll partner closely with Learning Designers, People Analytics, external vendors, and leaders across Dropbox to deliver scalable and insight-driven learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of L&D programs, ensuring clear prioritization, timelines, and execution
- Look across programs to identify overlaps, gaps, and opportunities to create a more cohesive end-to-end learning experience
- Partner with Learning Designers to refresh and evolve programs based on learner feedback, UX and user journeys, behavioral data, and organizational priorities.
- Manage integrated platforms, program calendars, dashboards, and planning processes, ensuring visibility, prioritization, and alignment across stakeholders.
- Deliver and own technology-enabled learning experiences and tech stack that scale effectively in a Virtual First environment (e.g., LMS platforms, Slack-based workflows, self-paced content, AI).
- Approach your work with an innovative lens, offering recommendations for AI-integration and enhancement and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Identify and address disconnects between systems and programs to reduce friction
- Support pilots, implementation and integration of new tools and capabilities, working cross-functionally with internal partners and vendors
- Drive development of learning technology platforms, including platform enhancements and AI-powered features to increase personalization and impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Learning Technology, Computer Science, Human-Centered Design, Organizational Development, Business, Learning and Development, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in L&D, program and project management, employee experience, or HR strategy, preferably in a distributed or tech-enabled organization.
- Ability to treat employee experience as a product, applying product management and design thinking to understand needs, prototype solutions, and drive execution through strong project management and data-driven iteration.
- Proven ability to manage learning programs and/or coaching and leadership development initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated success in leading multiple large-scale, cross-functional programs, with strong attention to strategy, timelines, and execution.
- Experience designing and operationalizing metrics and evaluation strategies for learning programs, and translating insights into iteration.
- Executive presence and the ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders, aligning learning initiatives with leadership and company priorities.
- Strong portfolio management instincts. You can prioritize, sequence, and make tradeoffs across multiple initiatives
- Experience working with or implementing platforms (LMS, LXP, or other systems)
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in strategic program management within L&D, HR, or EdTech.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools in the flow of work. Candidates with a pre-existing comfort level & familiarity using AI to enhance productivity are strongly preferred.
- Experience integrating AI tools or automation into workflows to enhance efficiency, personalization, or insight generation in L&D or operational contexts.
- Proven success applying HR as a product approaches to program design or delivery, with a focus on driving learner outcomes and operational excellence.

Virtual First
Dropbox’s Virtual First way of working is designed to help people do their best work with flexibility, autonomy, and connection. Day to day, teams work remotely with nonlinear schedules and core collaboration hours that support deep focus and individual working styles. We prioritize asynchronous communication to improve clarity, respect deep work time, and reduce unnecessary meetings. While remote work is the primary experience for our employees, we also prioritize intentional, in-person connection. We bring teams together through regular team gatherings, on-demand workspaces, and Dropbox Neighborhood events in order to strengthen team cohesion, foster creativity, and enhance momentum. Virtual First is built to provide the same access to opportunity, growth, and impact for everyone, regardless of location.
This role requires travel to offsites and various other team gatherings (approximately 5-10% of the year or 2-3 days per quarter). We provide advance notice when possible and encourage candidates to discuss any accommodation needs during the interview process.
