The Business Operations team in the Metaverse organization serves as a centralized hub for all strategy and operations for both the product and the business, working closely with leadership to help them grow, scale, and run their product groups effectively. The team’s goal is to help the Metaverse org make the best strategic decisions possible and execute with speed, efficiency, and precision. As a Business Operations Lead, you will help support the product group’s strategic priorities, outline data-driven strategic decisions, and frame actionable recommendations. This role reports to the Director, Strategy & Operations and will directly support the Horizon OS Product Group. You will manage ongoing programs that support the team and the product, ensuring they are well run, have a high ROI, and continue to align closely to our goals for the year. You will serve as an accelerant to complex projects that need a driver who can bring together the right stakeholders, develop frameworks, align on tradeoffs, and move to next steps. You will provide strategic program management and execution leadership on programs ranging from headcount allocation and tracking, opex allocation and tracking, team operations, process improvement, and employee engagement programs, enabling our team to execute and innovate at speed. You will help the Horizon OS and broader Metaverse leadership effectively allocate resources, both within and across product portfolios, by providing a holistic understanding of our products, markets, and more.

$145,000/year to $204,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. Business Operations Lead, Metaverse Responsibilities:
- Independent ownership of high-value programs and priorities that support the product, team, or leads
- Close partnership with the Director, Business Operations for your product group, providing strategic thinking on how to grow, scale, and run teams effectively.
- Manage rhythm of business, organization operations, and ad-hoc organization related projects
- Build and optimize systems, process, tools and standards that improve production within the organization
- Drive cross-functional product group initiatives such as headcount allocation and tracking, budget planning, annual planning organizational transformation projects, and more
- Develop streamlined processes and mechanisms to improve operational efficiency and communication
- Lead internal communications for the product group, which includes managing and driving All-Hands, development of leadership presentations, talking points for events, etc.
- Actively communicate to your Director, Business Operations and team to keep them informed of the strategies
- Prioritize competing needs with good reasoning and viable solutions across multiple teams and projects
- 6+ years of experience in program/project management, strategy and planning, or similar
- Quantitative, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with business acumen
- Experience drafting clear communications and assembling presentations with a high level of craft
- Experience problem-solving individually and in a group setting
- Proven track-record of organizing, developing, and executing strategy projects that deliver results
- Experience partnering with cross-functional leadership to turn insights into actions
- Experience with Microsoft and Google Suite, advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets
- BA/BS degree in business, finance, or engineering
- Experience in product strategy, hardware, devices, and/or working with creators or developers
- Consumer products experience in an engineering, financial, project management, or operational capacity
- Experience working with confidential information while maintaining discretion
