We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Device Partnerships Manager to join our Device Partnerships Team. At Meta, we have focused on building an integrated ecosystem where hardware devices work seamlessly with our software and services creating immersive, socially connected experiences. This includes Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Threads and our efforts in Reality Labs with Horizon OS. As a Strategic Device Partnerships Manager you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships with device manufacturers, technology vendors, and other key stakeholders. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, sales, and legal to drive the success of device-related products through collaborative partnerships. Ideally, you will have demonstrated understanding of the devices industry, relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of managing partnerships that drive business growth.

Strategic Device Partnerships Manager Responsibilities:

  • Understand the competitive landscape across Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and our relative position to inform the product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Follow ecosystems, user behaviors, and long-term trends affecting key device surfaces - Smartphone, Tablet, PC, Automotive, Smart Home, TV, Augmented and Mixed Reality.
  • Identifying new levers to help move key metrics with partners for existing products and services.
  • Negotiate, formalize & manage partnerships, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with company goals.
  • Drive multiple projects from strategy to execution in a time-sensitive environment in an organized way.
  • Plan and lead cross-functional efforts to take known product optimizations and implement them in other places. You can operationalize plans and activities with flawless execution.
  • Work collaboratively under pressure on complex, international, large-scale, time-critical projects.
  • Influencing product teams through presentation of data & partner feedback based recommendations.
  • Communicating state of business, experiment results, etc. to product and business leads.
  • Spreading best practices for growth with product teams to drive impact.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business or management related field (In lieu of degree, relevant work experience).
  • Significant experience in Business Development, Partnerships or Product Management within the technology or devices industry.
  • Professional fluency in Mandarin / Cantonese as you will use these language skills to communicate effectively with partners in the region.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams combined with demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
  • Proven influencing and negotiation skills to navigate complex deals, that lead to forming & nurturing meaningful strategic partnerships.
  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the devices market, including trends and key players.
  • Experience working within a large scale Device Manufacturer.
  • Experience working with Mobile Device Manufacturers.
  • Capacity to get things done at short notice while collecting information from a variety of internal and external sources.
