Hardware Engineer - Sunnyvale, CA

Description: Hardware Engineer, Power System EE

Meta is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA. This position will be joining the Power EE team and will work on the Smart Glasses power systems module. In this role you will work on power testing, validation, and design. The ideal candidate will have an Electrical Engineering degree, with strong understanding of power EE fundamental concepts.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Power EE team to test, validate, and design power systems for Smart Glasses
• Perform power simulations and test performance, consumption, and peak power outputs
• Develop solutions focused on reducing the power consumption of PCBs, batteries, and other subsystems
• Design power validation methodologies and automate lab tests using python

Qualifications:

• Electrical Engineering Bachelors or Masters degree
• Strong fundamental knowledge within Power and EE concepts
• Experience testing and validation power systems
• Experience with power modeling and simulations
• Experience with electronic power systems bring-up
• Experience performing power measurements and optimizing power performance
• Experience using lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Vector Network Power Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Multimeters

Nice to Have (Not Required):

• Prior experience working on PCB power optimization
• Prior experience working on consumer electronic power systems
• Prior experience designing power systems
• Experience with power integrity testing
• Master's degree in electrical engineering
