The EMEA Crisis Management Lead is a key member of Meta’s Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) team, responsible for leading crisis management and response activities across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This role ensures Meta’s business operations are prepared for, can respond to, and recover from disruptive events, safeguarding people, operations, business, and reputation

Crisis Management Lead, EMEA Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain crisis management plans and playbooks tailored to EMEA risks and regulatory requirements
- Maintain Crisis Management Team rosters, accommodating organizational changes, role transitions, and evolving needs
- Support and develop training programs that adapt to emerging threats and changing organizational needs
- Design and facilitate crisis simulation exercises reflecting evolving risk landscapes and operational realities
- Maintain organizational wikis and knowledge systems amid ongoing process improvements and updates
- Conduct risk assessments and scenario planning for regional and site threats (e.g., geopolitical, natural disasters, cyber incidents)
- Support the development of site operational continuity in line with the Enterprise Business Continuity Plans
- Lead and coordinate real-time crisis response efforts for incidents impacting Meta’s EMEA operations, including outside of business hours
- Serve as the primary point of contact for crisis escalation, working with cross-functional teams (Global Security, Global Business Group, Legal, Communications, HR, etc.)
- Build and maintain relationships with internal GWS stakeholders and cross-functional teams within Meta across EMEA
- Provide crisis management training and awareness programs for local teams
- Conduct post-incident reviews and lessons learned sessions
- Drive improvements in crisis management processes, tools, and reporting
- Leverage AI to increase efficiency in the overall resilience framework
- Deliver timely and accurate updates to leadership during incidents
- Prepare regular reports on crisis readiness, incidents, and mitigation actions
- Ensure metrics are accurate and up to date
- 5+ years of experience in crisis management, business resilience, or emergency response, preferably in a multinational environment
- Extensive knowledge of the EMEA regulatory landscape and crisis risks
- Proven communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working under pressure and making decisions in fast-paced, ambiguous situations
- Experience with crisis management tools, platforms, and reporting
- Bachelor’s degree or related experience
- Multilingual (English required, additional EMEA languages a plus)
- Professional certifications (e.g., CBCP, ISO 22301, CEM)
- Experience working in technology or global organizations
- Experience working within an AI-native environment and/or leveraging AI-supported workflows
