Meta's Reality Labs (RL) is seeking a Logistics Operations Program Manager (OPM). The OPM will enable RL product roadmaps by managing and scaling prototype fulfillment operations. This professional will be responsible for end-to-end execution of prototype device movements—translating ambiguous product needs into operational plans, ensuring secure and compliant handling, and delivering predictable service levels across a global network. The OPM will improve cycle time, reliability, and customer experience for engineering and product teams, while strengthening operational mechanisms, metrics, and tooling to support rapid iteration in a high-change environment.

Reality Labs (RL) Logistics Operations Program Manager Responsibilities:

  • Own prototype fulfillment operational programs end-to-end (intake, prioritization, planning, execution, and post-mortems) to enable RL product development timelines
  • Be the primary liaison between broad internal teams and third-party logistics service providers
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Engineering, Prototype Programs, Security, Shipping Vendors, and Internal customers to align requirements and deliver on-time, compliant shipments
  • Influence vendor operating mechanisms (Process documents, service metrics, escalation paths, weekly business reviews, exception management workflows) to ensure consistent global execution
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve on-time delivery, and increase labor/process efficiency across pick/pack/ship, returns, and reverse logistics
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators and reporting (e.g., on-time shipment performance, cycle time, backlog health, exception rate, inventory accuracy), and present insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
  • Enable systems and tooling enhancements (requirements definition, user testing, training, rollout/change management) to improve order intake, visibility, tracking, and operational controls
  • Manage shipment exceptions and high-severity escalations
  • coordinate rapid resolution with internal teams and external logistics providers
  • Influence roadmap planning by identifying operational risks, capacity constraints, and dependency gaps
  • propose mitigation plans and investments
  • Ensure prototype security, chain-of-custody expectations, and inventory tracking practices are embedded in operational processes and user guidance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in logistics, fulfillment operations, supply chain operations, or operations program management (prototype, NPI, or high-variability environments)
  • Experience working in consumer electronics, AR/VR, hardware NPI, or other complex physical supply chain environments
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional operational programs with measurable outcomes (service, cost, quality, cycle time, or compliance)
  • Hands-on experience with fulfillment processes (receiving, inventory management, pick/pack/ship, transportation coordination, returns/reverse logistics) and exception management
  • Experience building operational mechanisms and documentation (operating procedures, service metrics, escalation frameworks, metrics dashboards) and driving adoption across stakeholders
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including defining metrics, diagnosing drivers, and prioritizing improvements using data
  • Operates under your own initiative in ambiguous, time-sensitive environments and to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Evidenced success in communication skills, including executive-ready status updates, risk articulation, and decision framing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting prototype device fulfillment and/or engineering development operations (e.g., rapid iteration, frequent priority shifts, constrained supply)
  • Familiarity with global trade/ dangerous goods compliance considerations (e.g., customs documentation, restricted commodities, international shipping constraints) in a hardware environment
  • Experience managing third-party partners and warehouse operations remotely (metrics governance, performance management, and continuous improvement)
  • Experience with inventory and asset tracking systems and operational tooling, background driving system enhancements and change management
  • Background supporting secure handling of sensitive hardware, chain-of-custody processes, or regulated/confidential materials
  • Lean / Six Sigma or other continuous improvement training and demonstrated application in an operations setting
  • Demonstrated experience using AI to automate workflows or repetitive tasks
